VSA, the social care charity supporting the people of Aberdeen & North East Scotland, has announced the appointment of a new CEO.
Sue Freeth will lead the charity and its team which has supported the people of Aberdeen for over 150 years offering care, support, and vital services to vulnerable people living in our communities as and when they needed it. Sue has a forty-year-long career serving in UK historic social care charities and held both executive and non-executive positions in small, medium and large service-providing charities working in Scotland and the wider UK.

Kevin Shand, Chair of the Board of Trustees for VSA, says, “On behalf of the Board of Trustees, I am delighted to announce the appointment of Chief Executive Sue Freeth who joins the VSA family. Sue comes with a wealth of experience and knowledge of the charity sector, having held previous CEO roles for various charities across the UK. As the world emerges from the Covid-19 pandemic, the delivery of social care changes, the cost-of-living crisis, and societal change, Sue will lead VSA to continue to influence the social care landscape.”
