New company launched to help customers enter Southeast Asian market

A North-east entrepreneur and his Singaporean colleague have launched a new company to help Scottish businesses enter and grow in the thriving Southeast Asian market.

Scotsbridge has been created by Mark Skinner from Ellon, Aberdeenshire, and Singapore-based Don Wang. It will be devoted to providing an extensive range of services to help companies establish a foothold in the region and win new business there.

Scotsbridge will provide support to a range of industries including oil and gas, intellectual property and agriculture.

With combined experience of over 60 years, working across sales, marketing and business development, as well as owning their own businesses, the founders of Scotsbridge aim to provide planning and research support, advise on communications within the region, create a full company programme of activity, provide networking guidance and make key introductions to help companies secure work within the niche market area.

Mark Skinner said: “We are hugely enthusiastic about launching this new and exciting service across Scotland. We both share a deep passion for business and can use our own unique experience to provide companies with much needed support.

According to the OECD, (Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development), GDP growth in Southeast Asia, China and India is forecast to average 6.2 percent per year to 2021 – almost double the global forecast for this year (3.3 percent).
