Managing director Brian Storie retains full ownership of the Aberdeen-based firm, while its team of five transfer across (as of June 17th, 2019). It was previously the European authorised distributor and service centre for Inuktun products.

It is projected that the end of this formal relationship will create opportunities for the new company to extend its reach into new products, markets and geographies.

Based in Grandholm, Bridge of Don, the business is currently in advanced discussions with potential partners around international distribution agreements and expects to appoint additional staff later this year.

Brian Storie commented: “I am excited to see what the future holds for Spectis Robotics, our staff, customers and suppliers. While our immediate focus will be on consolidating our existing position, the new identity will allow the business to spread its wings in terms of product offering and enter new markets.

“Beyond the name change, customers can be reassured that they are still dealing with the same knowledgeable team here in Aberdeen and will receive the high levels of service that they have come to expect.”

Spectis Robotics specialises in the sale, rental and service of robotic crawler vehicles and inspection cameras for clients in the oil and gas, nuclear, renewables and civil engineering sectors, among others.
