New Industry Advisor to liaise with offshore industries on fishing matters

The Scottish Fishermen’s Federation (SFF), a trade association representing the Scottish fish-catching sector, and its wholly-owned subsidiary SFF Services Limited (SFFSL), which provides vessel support for the energy industries, has appointed Andrew Third as Industry Advisor.

In his new role, Andrew will advise on practical issues affecting the fishing industry in relation to the operation of oil, gas, renewables and other offshore operations in the marine environment.

Andrew is an experienced fisherman with 30 years at sea, who spent seven years as skipper of the Fraserburgh-registered Ocean Trust prior to joining the company.

Steven Alexander, managing director of SFF Services Limited said: “Andrew is a great addition to the team, and we are delighted that he is joining us at a very exciting time for our business. We are committed to maintaining our good relationships with the oil and gas industry, and connecting with the growing renewables sector, while continuing to deliver professional vessel and fisheries liaison support.”

SFF Services Limited provides fisheries liaison vessel and personnel services to the energy industries, working with the major operators in UKCS Scottish waters.
