An Aberdeen engineering firm has recorded a strong performance in sales, landing over £4million worth of new projects leading to the expansion of its workforce.
HVAC & Refrigeration Engineering is welcoming the success over the past six months which includes a new contract with Petrofac to provide services to one of their North Sea assets, as well as key projects with major global operators and service companies in the UK and abroad in locations including Poland and Sakhalin in Russia.
The firm, part of the Nucore Group, will be working to deliver engineering, servicing and preventative maintenance of heating, ventilation, air conditioning and refrigeration equipment on a number of offshore installations. It has already employed an additional 12 personnel to support the growing operations both in the North Sea as well as internationally, and anticipates further expansion in the coming months.
Commenting on the recent performance, Russell Bell, services director said: “We are exceptionally pleased with the recent business success and growth which we can attribute to the quality of our service, people and equipment. We continue to tender on projects at home and internationally which, if successful, will see us further expand our workforce.”
Earlier this year the firm also embarked on a three-year service contract, awarded by Apache North Sea Ltd, to provide preventative maintenance services on eight North Sea assets, both onshore and offshore.
Graham Thomson, chief executive officer of Nucore Group, added: “The group’s performance over the past six months has been remarkable. We have a number of promising opportunities ahead of us and we are keen to continue to expand our operations internationally, recruiting like-minded individuals to help us continue to prosper.”
