Aberdeenshire North and Moray East MP Seamus Logan on Sunday, attended the annual Peterhead Scottish Week Church Service with local councillors and members of the Scottish Week organising committee.

Peterhead Scottish Week is the last surviving ‘Scottish Week’ of the many that were held up and down the country since the early 1960s and the Church Service is the oldest event in the Peterhead Scottish Week calendar.

Commenting afterwards, Seamus Logan MP said:

“It was a great honour and privilege for my wife and I to be invited to attend the annual Scottish Week Church Service and good to meet up with the committee to hear about their plans for the coming week.

“Community events such as Scottish Week are a great source of civic pride but it must be remembered that these events take a lot of organising and our thanks must go to the committee and other organisations involved in making the many different events and attractions happen.

“I wish Peterhead Scottish Week continued success and all the very best for the week ahead.”
