Network NorthEast, a new networking group, aimed at businesses across northern Aberdeenshire will hold its launch event on Thursday, September 26th in Turriff.

The focus of the group will be to unite local businesses through networking, information sharing and identifying ways of supporting each other’s business activity and growth.

Founding member Neil McLeod of Property Partners said that the Turriff area alone has more than 600 businesses operating in the surrounding region.

“Like many other businesses, Property Partners doesn’t have a shopfront address so along with other local companies in a similar situation we wanted to establish a platform where we could meet with other local businesses and hopefully work with them in the future,” said Neil.

“At the moment there aren’t many networking opportunities unless you want to travel to Aberdeen or elsewhere, so Network NorthEast was set up to address that need. The three founding businesses, which includes Optimul Business Solutions and Haston Creative, all have Turriff links but we are very keen to open this up to the wider Aberdeen business community and we already have business from Ellon, Inverurie, Peterhead and elsewhere committed to attending.

“Northern Aberdeenshire has a wealth of fantastic business operating across all sectors. Many are rurally-based and this will provide an opportunity for us to get together, to learn about each other and to identify opportunities for collaborative working and business growth.”

The free event will be held at the Baden Powell Centre in Turriff from 7-9pm on September 26. Registration is via the Network NorthEast Launch Facebook page or by emailing [email protected]
