Converged Communication Solutions has made another senior appointment as it continues to strengthen its management team.
The Aberdeen-based firm has promoted Ian MacIntosh to the role of operations manager, he was previously part of its business development team. This is the latest in a series of internal promotions which have taken place over recent months at Converged in preparation for planned growth and service expansion across Scotland.
As operations manager, Ian will oversee the firm’s end to end customer service process from initial enquiry through to delivery, while also ensuring processes and systems within the business continue to meet its own evolving demands. A key part of his role will be providing existing and prospective clients with more opportunities to learn about the integrated range of Internet connections, telephone systems and IT support services Converged offers, and the benefits that can be derived from them.
Since it was founded in 2005, Converged has remained at the forefront of the IT sector. It has established one of the most robust connectivity networks in north-east Scotland, which includes access to a pioneering high-speed wireless network in Aberdeenshire and Moray.
Prior to joining Converged in late 2016, Ian worked in the retail and IT industries for over 20 years, initially running his own business franchise. The last decade has been spent in IT and telecommunications support and account management roles. During this time he was involved in facilitating the installation of IT systems, providing hands-on technical support and training, while working with management to successfully increase the profitability of the businesses.
Ian’s introduction to the IT industry came as the result of the advent of Electronic Point of Sale technology in the retail sector, where he was responsible for the system’s installation and subsequent roll-out in stores across Scotland and delivering staff training. He will use his experiences to help drive Converged forward, utilising the latest and most relevant technologies in the process.
