This latest appointment means Deloitte has doubled the number of partners based in the city over the past six months to four. The firm is also currently recruiting as it expands its business tax team.

Caroline said: “I’m delighted to be taking on this role in Aberdeen at this time. There is a great deal of positivity in and around the city, with significant investments in the harbour, the airport and new exhibition centre helping to bolster this as a great place to live and work.

“This positive sentiment is also being reflected in the market, we’re seeing an increase in the number of transactions taking place, clients seeking out new opportunities, successfully gaining access to new territories, harnessing the power of developing technologies and evolving their business models to ensure they are fit for the future.

“We are committed to growing our footprint in the region and expect opportunities to continue to increase in the years ahead, particularly around the mergers and acquisitions market as companies in the region look to grow and internationalise.”

Graham Hollis, Senior Partner for Deloitte in Aberdeen, said: “Caroline has already played a significant role in boosting Aberdeen’s position within Deloitte’s North West Europe firm. Her experience in leading and defining tax strategies for large corporates and growth businesses has been hugely beneficial to our industry clients.

“The recent partner appointments and growth of our Aberdeen office demonstrates our commitment to the city. Aberdeen has experienced a lot of change in recent years but we know it is a place with great ambitions for the future.”
