The first of its kind in the area, the event will allow QSHE professionals to access training providers, workwear and PPE suppliers, equipment demonstrations and safety literature specialists under one roof.

The 2015 Safety Expo has been organised jointly by industry training specialist AquaTerra and safety print provider XIC. It will showcase safety-related solutions, products and services from firms based in the north-east.

Safety Expo organiser, Jason Moir, said: “Many organisations – particularly in the energy sector – are seeking to balance their commitment to health and safety with the pressure to reduce costs.

“When you consider that the cost of getting health and safety wrong amounts to nearly £40million a day in the UK alone, it is understandable and entirely correct that QHSE issues remain at the forefront of business consciousness. By showcasing the latest technologies and techniques at Safety Expo, our exhibitors hope to work with organisations to tackle safety awareness issues.”

The inaugural Safety Expo will see exhibitors including AquaTerra Training, SAFER Training, Total Safety, Portwest and XIC. Magicians and facilitators Fifth Dimenson will also be on hand to prove how magically-enhanced safety training can help to get the message across.

Safety Expo 2015 will take place at AquaTerra House, Midmill Business Park, Kintore, on May 21, 2015.
