ENERPRO has announced a key new leadership appointment as energy industry executive James Murphy takes up the role of Health, Safety, Environment and Quality (HSEQ) Manager.

Specialists in drilling rig upgrades in both Mobile Offshore Drilling Units (MODU) and fixed offshore platforms, Enerpro supports cross-sector industries including oil and gas, marine, renewable energy and nuclear.

James takes on his new role with the Aberdeen and Thurso based company, having previously worked in the energy sector for more than 45 years. He has worked predominantly in senior management positions within energy firms operating in the UK and globally. His wealth of experience in both the onshore and offshore sectors has seen his expertise extend across multiple industries including service companies, drilling and construction firms, and fabrication and pipeline companies.

Commenting on his appointment, James said, “My initial focus will be to provide HSEQ support to ensure Enerpro meets and exceeds its customers’ expectations in terms of operational compliance.

“Enerpro is committed to offering a complete turnkey project management service and I am looking forward to playing a key role in the management and delivery of the company’s integrated work scopes with safety, quality and sustainability at the core of operations.”

Enerpro Managing Director, David Wade, added: “Having the right people in the right role is always important and we are delighted to have James on board as we focus our long-term goal to position ourselves as a market leader.

“His breadth of experience will enable us to continue to deliver a high-quality service to cross-sector industries while keeping the health and safety of both our customers and our employees at the heart of our approach.”
