A new Thai street food cafe and traditional massage parlour has opened its doors in Aberdeen city centre, offering locals a taste of Thailand in more ways than one.

Located at 47 Netherkirkgate, Thai Box Cafe officially launched on Monday 7 July and is open from 1pm to 7pm, Monday to Saturday. The family-run business is the creation of sisters Nattha and Paula, originally from Bangkok, who have combined their areas of expertise to offer something truly distinctive for the city.
Speaking to Aberdeen Business News, co-owner Nattha said: “We’ve always shared a goal to give genuine Thai food and experiences for everyone to enjoy. My sister and I both have over 20 years of experience in our fields – mine in Thai cooking, and hers in traditional massage, so this was the perfect way for us to work side by side.”

The menu at Thai Box Cafe is packed with vibrant Thai flavours and comforting street food favourites, including Spring Rolls, Pad Thai, Duck Curry, and grilled Moo Ping skewers.

During our visit, Aberdeen Business News sampled the Moo Tod (crispy pork belly), Spring Rolls and Moo Ping, all rich in flavour and served with a stand-out homemade tamarind dipping sauce. A glass of iced Thai coffee rounded off the meal… Strong, aromatic and refreshing on a warm summer afternoon.

For those seeking relaxation, the café’s lower floor features four tranquil massage rooms, where Paula offers authentic Thai therapies including aromatherapy, reflexology, hot stone treatments and traditional Thai massage. Prices start at £30.
In Case You Missed it:

“Our massage services have been really well received already,” said Paula. “Clients say they feel relaxed and restored, and we’re so happy to bring that to the heart of Aberdeen.”

Thai Box Cafe’s welcoming space and commitment to quality have already drawn strong early interest from the local community. Paula added: “Aberdeen has been our home for many years, and we’ve always dreamed of creating a comfortable space where people could enjoy amazing food and wellness together.”
With its cheerful decor, skilled kitchen, and wellness-focused offering, Thai Box Cafe looks set to become a firm favourite in the city centre.
