Nominations for the 2015 Northern Star Business Awards opened this week.
Aberdeen & Grampian Chamber of Commerce organise the awards which are one of the highlights in the region’s business calendar. Winning an award can lift a business’ profile and provide the opportunity to be part of an acclaimed North-east event.
The closing date for nominations is Friday April 24 at 12noon. The awards honour businesses in the North-east in a range of areas such as customer service, business diversity and environmental awareness.
Last year around 800 people attended the gala dinner for the ceremony as the achievements of all the finalists and the award winners were celebrated.
The categories available for nominations are:
Achievement in International Business
Best Campaign of the Year
Business Diversity Award
Commitment to People Development
Commitment to Innovative Use of Research and Development
Excellence in Customer Service
Excellence in Health and Safety
Made in Aberdeen: Best Collaboration between an Arts and Business Organisation
Outstanding Contribution to Society
Outstanding Contribution to the Energy Sector
Overall Business of the Year
There is also a Lifetime Achievement award which is announced on the night. Last year’s award went to leading oil executive Sir Ian Wood for his outstanding contribution to the region.
Membership director at the Chamber Liam Smyth said: “The Northern Star Business Awards are a highpoint for the Chamber, giving North-east businesses from every sector the opportunity to showcase and celebrate their success and achievements.
