Amy is a former pupil of St Margaret’s School for Girls and a graduate of Aberdeen University. Following graduation in 2007, Amy joined RCCW as a trainee solicitor and worked in several departments before being joining the private client team as a newly qualified solicitor in 2009.

Ruth’s involvement with RCCW began before her traineeship, as she had worked as a secretary in the firm’s court department during time out after graduating.

Following graduation, Ruth started her traineeship in 2013 and worked at several of RCCW’s branch offices before moving to the Private Client department in Aberdeen to complete the last part of her traineeship before qualifying in 2015.

Callum McDonald, managing partner, said: “It is pleasing at this most difficult time to announce some good news, and I am particularly delighted with these promotions since both Ruth and Amy have been with us since leaving university, and demonstrate the firm’s ethos of encouraging and rewarding loyalty and hard work.

“Amy becomes our first new partner since we converted to an LLP last year and we expect that both ladies will continue to be a tremendous asset to our firm for many years.”

RCCW, which employs more than 150 staff, has offices in Aberdeen, Stonehaven, Banchory, Ellon and Inverurie.
