A NORTH-east born wellness organisation is bringing a chat show style event to Scotland for the first time.

The ‘Forces of Change’ series is being brought by Women’s Wellness Scotland, who has teamed up with AB15 to bring a panel of leading women to share their stories, insights, expertise and wisdom to address common topics that women face through periods of change. The carefully selected panel will offer an afternoon of thought-provoking conversation and audience discussion, that will provide practical guidance to support self-care, empowerment, motivation, confidence and much more.

Women’s Wellness Scotland focuses on raising the profile of women’s wellness and wellbeing by bringing together a range of collaborative voices to provide balance and support from a range of local organisations to work with you, or your workforce, enabling you to be your best self.

The first ‘Forces for Change’ panel will focus on an inside-out : head-to-toe approach, that will look at  ‘Your Womanhood Journey’ with Donna Christie of Women’s Wellness Scotland, ‘Your Voice is Your Power’ with Tess Day of Mindblox,  ‘Your Personal and Business Image’ with Rosee Elliott of House of Colour,  ‘Your Fashion and Style’ with Lynne Hamilton of Planet Tasteful and ‘Your Journey of Resilience’’ with Fiona Lindsay of Lindsay Communications.

Donna Christie, CEO from Women’s Wellness Scotland, said: “It has been a dream for many years to bring an event like this to the North-east. Our journey through womanhood, holding down a career, running a home, and for some women bringing up a family, navigating the Menopause journey and beyond, can be a rough ride. Every woman behind closed doors faces very different challenges that can put us off balance and off track.

I am excited to bring our panel and audience together in a relaxed setting to engage and be empowered from and by each other. Our line-up of women has incredible stories, insights, and expertise to share.

The purpose of the event is to take away something for yourself from the afternoon and put into action to live your best life.”

Working closely alongside the panel is veteran Broadcaster, TedEx Curator, and Mentor, from AB15, Derrick Thomson. AB15 is an organisation who works with companies, ambitious leaders and social enterprises to tell their stories.

Aligning ambition with success through storytelling, Derrick Thomson said: “The wonderful people of the North-east have so much to share with each other.  I’m delighted to be working with the ‘Forces of Change’ panel, particularly in this format, which throws open so many opportunities for meaningful dialogue. We are a proud region with a rich history, incredible local organisations and talent, let’s start sharing our stories together to showcase this and support each other.”

Future events across the North-east are planned throughout the year and will include a range of expert panellists across various sectors and genders.

Forces of Change are delighted to welcome Northwood as a sponsor. Laura Mearns, Managing Director, said: “We are thrilled to be part of this inaugural event to inspire growth, development, and personal change for people through engaging discussions on topics sometimes we don’t or won’t talk to each other about. It is about the opportunity to come together and be part of a conversational community.”

‘Forces of Change’ will be held on 31st March 2023 at The Chester Hotel, Queens Road, Aberdeen, from 12.00pm to 4.00pm. Tickets include a light lunch and post-event drinks reception.
