Global energy solutions provider OEG has launched a new all-employee initiative to enable its staff the opportunity to build wealth at work.

The ‘Shared Prosperity Plan’ gives employees a stake in the value they help to create as the group expands its integrated services across conventional and renewable energy sectors, aligning workforce engagement with business performance and embedding a growth-partner mindset.

OEG has a workforce of around 1,500 people and operates in more than 65 locations worldwide. The company has been supporting the energy sector with its core services for over five decades. Funds managed by affiliates of Apollo Global Management, Inc. (“Apollo”) acquired a majority stake in OEG in June 2025, valuing the business at more than (USD) $1 billion (approximately £740 million).

John Heiton, CEO of OEG, said: “Our people are central to our success, and the Shared Prosperity Plan is our way of recognising their contributions to OEG’s growth and evolution. By giving our people a real stake in the company’s future, we’re not just rewarding performance, we’re building a culture where everyone feels ownership, pride and a shared purpose.”

The initiative has the full support of Apollo through its Apollo Empower programme, whose mission is to create pathways to long-term financial security for workers across Apollo fund portfolio companies. Apollo is also a founding partner of Ownership Works, a non-profit consortium dedicated to expanding broad-based employee wealth creation.

Wilson Handler, Partner at Apollo and a member of OEG’s Board of Directors, said: “The launch of OEG’s Shared Prosperity Plan shows the commitment to fostering a culture where employees are true partners in the journey of value creation. We are proud to support OEG in this transformative initiative, which not only recognises the invaluable contributions of its workforce but also positions the company for long-term growth.”

The OEG programme was introduced simultaneously across its global footprint through co-ordinated and celebratory launch events earlier this month, reflecting the company’s ambition to embed an engaged growth-partner and value-sharing mindset throughout the organisation.
