Aberdeen-based business communications specialist, DF Communications, has been named a winner at a national awards ceremony in London.
The business scooped the Best Enterprise Unified Communications Solution at the 2017 Comms National Awards at the Hilton Park Lane. DF Communications was also highly commended in another category, Best Enterprise Cloud Solution.

Both award entries focused on project work completed for North Star Shipping – part of The Craig Group – which reduced costs and improved communications for the client.
In total, DF Communications connected 136 hosted IP phones on 31 vessels in North Star Shipping’s fleet, which supports up to 48 offshore installations in the North West European Area (NWEA).
DF Communications, which delivers mobile phone and landline products and services, collected its award at the event which was hosted by actor James Nesbitt OBE.
Craig Forsyth, sales director at DF Communications, said: “We’re thrilled to win this national award. DF Communications created a hosted solution that could seamlessly connect to three different networks – Vessel 4G, offshore installation 4G and V-SAT (satellite communications). The technology provides the client with the option of installing any number of users depending on the requirements of each vessel.
