One of the contracts, which has been awarded by Al Khafji Joint Operations (KJO), will see Oil Plus deliver water injection compatibility studies and engineering work.

A joint operating company between Aramco Gulf Operations Company Limited and Kuwait Gulf Oil Company, KJO is responsible for oil and gas exploration, development and production of the offshore area close to the Saudi-Kuwait border, including the Khafji and Hout oil fields which have been in production since the 1960’s.

The work will be delivered from the company’s Newbury base with a dedicated team working on the projects for a duration of five months. Oil Plus has worked with KJO since 2006 and has delivered several projects for them during this time.

Since 1978, Oil Plus has worked with more than 270 upstream oil and gas companies in key disciplines of production chemistry, microbiology, specialised reservoir souring and process engineering completing over 2,700 projects in over 67 countries.

In March 2017, the company was acquired by Mark Cavanagh, managing director of Crandale Consultants, from John Crane Inc. Since then, Oil Plus has achieved significant growth, expanding its range of engineering services and boosting its presence in the Middle East, India, Europe and Asia Pac.

Clarke Shepherd, global business development director at Oil Plus, commented: “These contract wins are testament to the strong working relationships we have built in the Middle East, India, and beyond. We have also invested heavily in expanding our service offering over the past two 18 months to ensure we continue to provide optimum efficiency for our customers.

“We are now in a robust position to further extend our global reach, developing our relationships with operators and partners in key international oil and gas hubs. Over the past 40 years, the company has developed a reputation for providing a high quality, efficient and cost effective service and is one of the reasons we are still successful today. It’s been fantastic to see the company grow over the years and I’m excited to see what the future holds for Oil Plus.”
