Two Aberdeen based oil and gas professionals have joined forces to launch a firm aimed at providing collective experienced industry personnel to the UK and international drilling market.
Aptitude Collaborative Services Limited (ACS), based in Netherley, north of Stonehaven, has been formed by Keith Saunders and John Carmichael to provide operators and rig contractors with project teams and support services for their drilling campaigns.

ACS aim to target their support services at small to medium sized operators and rig contractors that are devoid of in-house expertise and infrastructure, have time limited drilling programs with a requirement to hit the ground running, and those with drilling obligations in inhospitable areas.
New companies will also benefit from the services of this multi-disciplinary support organisation.
The project teams will include highly experienced oilfield professionals covering materials, inventory and logistics, contracts and procurement, HSE management, cost engineering, finance management, QA / QC Services and Security.
Keith Saunders, ACS Operations Manager, who brings to the company 35 years financial history in the industry said:
“The objective is to allow drilling managers to concentrate on the technical aspects of the drilling program whilst we provide systems, procedures and an organisation that will complement the Drilling Manager’s objectives, not interfere with them.

John Carmichael, who will join Keith in moving ACS forward, added:
