TWO years have passed since Aberdeen-based energy services consortium PBS commenced activities with one of the largest General Maintenance & Operations Contracts (GMOC) in the North Sea, providing support to all seven of TotalEnergies’ sites within the United Kingdom Continental Shelf region.
PBS’ fundamental mission is to be the best fit contractor in terms of value, innovation and collaboration whilst ensuring that client goals of safer, more efficient and more cost-effective operations are achieved.

Andreas Christophersen, Director, commented:
“PBS has already achieved significant milestones as set out by the GMOC, including the safe and successful execution of five shutdowns during 2021, the reduction in overall backlog by 50%, installation of several critical flowlines, and the deployment of digital mobility operations offshore.”
“Our plans for 2022 include several shutdowns and pitstops, continued emphasis on improving safety performance, additional deployment of cutting-edge digitalisation, and enhanced upskilling opportunities, all delivering the most efficient utilisation of the offshore workforce.”
“Team PBS is motivated to continue optimising the customer’s operational performance and deliver sustainable efficiency savings. We are extremely proud of our achievements to date, and confident that our plans for the next phase of the contract will see further objectives met.”
“With two years of the GMOC under our belt, our one-team philosophy remains agile and flexible, allowing us to deliver innovation in processes and service delivery.”
PBS’ consortium members Ponticelli, Brand Energy & Infrastructure Services and Semco Maritime continue to work together to build a stable and secure future for their team, united under the PBS banner, and recently announced their office relocation within Westhill to better accommodate their growing numbers and provide the opportunity for further expansion.
PBS now plans to extend their business model to support other global operators. Their management team are already in conversation with potential clients, and they hope to announce additional contract wins soon.
