Peterhead-based Intec Analysis, an engineering company providing predictive monitoring solutions to the oil and gas industry, has diversified into the refrigeration industry.

Using specialist infrared cameras, ultrasound and unique leak measurement technology, Intec Analysis usually helps to detect, quantify and trend minor gas leaks for Oil & Gas companies. The same technology works well in this new market sector.

Speaking about the recent diversification of the company, Scott Wallis, Director at Intec Analysis said, “We managed to adapt very easily, evidenced by our ability to enter the refrigeration industry, helping new clients to monitor refrigerant gases, inspecting electrical systems, as well as detecting insulation inefficiencies and energy loss within cold stores and blast freezers.”

As well as being an alumnus of Elevator UK’s Accelerator Programme, Scott acknowledges the local support he received so far. He said, “Business Gateway gave us invaluable advice and we are working closely with Censis, an industry-led innovation centre for sensor and imaging systems to identify opportunities for collaboration and to develop new cross industry solutions”, he continued, “I am also grateful for the Support for Aberdeenshire Business Scheme (SAB) which helped us purchase key equipment, allowing us to provide additional predictive maintenance support.”
