ENERGY logistics provider Peterson has agreed a services contract with OneSubsea to support their work on the Matapal project in Trinidad and Tobago.

The agreement will see Peterson deliver turnkey logistics support including undertaking the heavy moving and lifting, materials management, loading and discharging and associated services for three of the subsea structures that will support the Matapal project.

Mobilisation will occur from the ChagTerms base in Chaguaramas this month and will continue until June 2021.

The value of the one-year contract has not been disclosed.

Maarten Spiljard, Peterson regional director, said: “We are delighted to work with OneSubsea and support them on this important project for the region.

“The contract award demonstrates our experience and expertise in integrated project logistics, built on over 50 years’ experience supporting energy logistics globally, and our growing presence in this region.”

Obinna Okafor, OneSubsea Matapal project manager, added: “Peterson has proven to be a reliable partner for the execution of subsea projects and together we have already successfully met several milestones.

“We look forward to the successful execution and delivery of the project in the coming months.”
