PETROFAC has been awarded an “enhanced” five-year deal with Ineos FPS (Forties Pipeline System) in the North Sea.

The energy services firm said it will build on its current operations and support services through the new deal, adding in engineering and construction support.

It means that Petrofac will continue to supply workers to the Unity platform, the onshore Cruden Bay Terminal and other landline sites.

Offshore personnel will be supplied via the Petrofac 24/7 delivery hub, which manages operations and maintenance contracts.

Nick Shorten, Petrofac Engineering and Production Services West managing director, said: “Over the past year we have been supporting INEOS FPS as they work to transform the Forties Pipeline System, and during this time our teams have developed a great understanding of both our client’s onshore and offshore sites.

“The enhancement of this contract demonstrates our client’s continued confidence in our ability to maintain safe operations while delivering improvements to production efficiency. We very much look forward to continue working with INEOS to unlock further value.”
