Sodexo Prestige Venues & Events, the long-standing catering partner to Aberdeen Football Club, has reported a record Christmas season at the venue, experiencing its best winter period in more than six years.
Pittodrie Stadium saw overall revenue grow by 6% on the previous year, thanks to a 20% increase in private party bookings and a spike in food and drinks sales.

Average spend per head at the venue’s shared party nights was up 4% on the previous year, while the introduction of a new online ordering system, as well as the addition of spirit bottles and cocktail pitchers resulted in significant growth of pre-ordered drinks which increased by 43% in 2016.

The launch of our online booking system was well received by clients who were able to control spend more accurately ahead of the festive season.
“In the run up to Christmas, we proactively promoted the benefits of using our online ordering facility and this can clearly be seen by the strong sales results it has achieved, which we aim to build on further this year.
“We are already in the process of planning next year’s program of Christmas events and will be launching an early bird deal in the coming months.”
