BANCON Homes has obtained planning approval for the next phase of homes to be built at Maidencraig South.
It follows the announcement in April that the company hopes to expand outside the North-east of Scotland for the first time, with a new development in Strathaven, South Lanarkshire.
Under permission granted by Aberdeen City Council, the company will deliver 208 homes at its Maidencraig South site, which is opposite Dobbies at the western edge of Aberdeen.
The development will consist of a mix of housing types which include 172 private homes, in addition to 36 affordable homes.
As part of the planning obligations, the company will contribute approximately £1 million to the Aberdeen economy, in addition to the provision of affordable housing. This will help to fund community, healthcare and school facilities in the area as well as improve roads and upgrade the core path network.
