National steakhouse chain Miller & Carter has unveiled plans to open a second restaurant in Aberdeen, taking over the premises currently occupied by Harvester near a key city junction.
The proposal, submitted to Aberdeen City Council by hospitality group Mitchells & Butlers, outlines a transformation of the existing venue with a full redesign and new branding in line with the chain’s established style. Visual plans show a contemporary dining space and upgraded exterior to match Miller & Carter’s premium steakhouse image.
If approved, the restaurant would become the second Miller & Carter in the Granite City, joining the existing branch on the corner of Union Street and Broad Street.

The company said the move reflects strong local demand and continued confidence in Aberdeen’s hospitality market.
Miller & Carter, part of the Mitchells & Butlers group, operates more than 130 restaurants across the UK, specialising in hand-cut British and Irish steaks, seasonal menus and bar dining experiences.
The Harvester brand, which also belongs to Mitchells & Butlers, has been trading from the site for several years. It is not yet known when the transition to the new restaurant would take place if planning consent is granted.
