Aberdeen headquartered Prodrill Energy Resource Solutions has expanded its board with the appointment of a key director as the business aligns to support the oil and gas sector’s vision to 2035 and beyond.
Drew Alexander, who has been working within the management team for seven years, has moved up to client relationship director with the business, which specialises in supplying personnel upstream energy industry.

The move also sees Mr Alexander taking a place on the board alongside managing director, Louise Wood, and co-director, Julie Cowie.
The appointment comes as Prodrill continues to support the industry as it adapts to a changing recruitment landscape, including future legislation changes around IR35, whilst aligning the strategy and direction of the business alongside the oil and gas industry’s Vision 2035 to recruit an additional 25,000 people by 2025 and 40,000 by 2035. *
Mr Alexander, who has more than 20 years oil and gas recruitment experience, said: “We have a superb depth of experience in our recruitment team which allows me to focus on driving performance and growing our client base on a global level. We continue to win new client contracts in Aberdeen, as well as London and the Middle East, and I’ll be overseeing client relationships to ensure the ongoing delivery of our core strengths.
“During the downturn, Prodrill focused on its core strengths and technical know-how to support the changing landscape. My new appointment will allow me to work alongside my fellow directors, to strengthen our global reputation and forge links with new clients across a wider service offering.
Specialising in sourcing key oil and gas technical skill, Prodrill has expertise in recruiting talent across drilling services, decommissioning/plug and abandonment, subsea, geoscience, completions/well services, plus all aspects of general engineering, operations & maintenance and management support.
Bob Watt has also joined the team as senior technical resource specialist to support the business as it diversifies into the new sectors.
Joining a team which boasts more than 100 years of collective expertise, Mr Watt, who will focus on the well services and completions disciplines, added: “I’ve been working in oil and gas recruitment for forty years supporting the industry from first generation projects to the current era of decommissioning and plugging and abandonment. I have experience across the board which fits perfectly with Prodrill’s eight core sectors and will support the team here to source the right talent for the right client at the right time using my technical expertise and network of contacts.”
