Aker Solutions has reported a solid financial performance for both the second quarter and first half of 2026, underpinned by key project milestones and continued operational progress across its portfolio.

The company recorded second-quarter revenue of NOK 13.1 billion, with EBITDA reaching NOK 1.2 billion, representing a margin of 9.2 per cent. Excluding net profit from SLB OneSubsea, the underlying EBITDA margin stood at 7.9 per cent. Earnings per share for the quarter were NOK 1.37, while order intake totalled NOK 9.9 billion, contributing to a robust order backlog of NOK 77.2 billion.

For the first half of the year, Aker Solutions delivered revenue of NOK 26.5 billion and EBITDA of NOK 2.4 billion, corresponding to a margin of 8.9 per cent. Underlying EBITDA margin, excluding SLB OneSubsea contributions, was 7.8 per cent, with earnings per share of NOK 2.67.

Chief Executive Officer Kjetel Digre highlighted the company’s operational achievements and consistent delivery.

“We continue to meet milestones across a broad range of projects, and we are gearing up for major deliveries to Aker BP. With another quarter of solid financial performance, this is a period our organisation can be proud of,” he said.

During the quarter, Aker Solutions achieved several significant milestones, including the load-out of the Hugin B topside for Aker BP and the start of construction on second-generation carbon capture and storage (CCS) projects in Norway.

Order intake in the quarter was driven by several key awards, including an HVDC substructure project, delivery of electromechanical equipment to the Tussa II hydropower plant, and a long-term framework agreement with Cenovus Energy in Canada.

Digre also pointed to ongoing efficiency and collaboration initiatives as key drivers of future growth.

“I am also encouraged by the range of improvement initiatives we are implementing together with our customers. These efforts increase value for our customers while strengthening our competitiveness and creating more opportunities for Aker Solutions,” he added.

The company maintained a strong financial position, ending the quarter with a net cash position of NOK 4.3 billion, including liquid fund investments. Aker Solutions also returned NOK 4.2 billion to shareholders through ordinary and extraordinary dividends during the period.

Looking ahead, Aker Solutions has updated its full-year guidance, now expecting 2026 revenue to fall between NOK 50 and 55 billion. The company anticipates an underlying EBITDA margin of around 7.5 per cent for the year, excluding contributions from SLB OneSubsea.

Aker Solutions holds a 20 per cent stake in SLB OneSubsea and expects increased distributions from the joint venture in the second half of 2026, supporting full-year returns broadly in line with 2025 levels.

The company will present its results via webcast on 14 July, followed by a Q&A session and opportunities for press interviews.
