ABERDEEN City Council is consulting the public on the proposed relocation of Walker Road School and boundary changes for the catchment areas for the school andTullos School.

The council is proposing to relocate the existing Walker Road School to a new primary school building at Tullos Circle, Aberdeen, with effect from 1 August 2023, or as soon as possible thereafter.

Amendments to the existing catchment areas are also proposed that would see all houses north of Balnagask Road and west of Mansfield Road permanently included within the Walker Road School catchment area, with effect from 1 August 2023.

The local authority is also proposing to alter the school catchment area for Tullos School, so that all houses which are north of Balnagask Road and east of Mansfield Road, and the area of land to the north and east of St Fittick’s Road, are permanently included within the Tullos School catchment area.

The new catchment areas would also take effect from 1 August 2023. 

The period of Statutory Consultation commences today (5 December 2022) and ends on Tuesday 31 January 2023 (inclusive).

A public consultation meeting will be held on:  

Wednesday 18 January 2023 from 7.00pm to 8.00pm at Walker Road School 

Members of the public are invited to express their views on the proposals by completing an online survey, which can be accessed from the Aberdeen City Council website: 

www.aberdeencity.gov.uk/schoolsconsultations
