PureGym Aberdeen Rubislaw has reopened following a major refurbishment, introducing upgraded training areas, new equipment and a dedicated beginner-friendly strength zone.
The refreshed gym relaunched on 14 August 2026, with PureGym saying the investment will give members more ways to pursue their fitness and wellbeing goals through flexible, affordable 24/7 access.
Among the new additions is a Shape Zone, designed to help those new to strength training build confidence. The area includes lighter barbells and dumbbells, glute-focused machines and benches, alongside new stretch accessories.
The gym has also upgraded its functional training zone, which now features a sled track, handstand board and wall ball targets. Members will also have access to enhanced free-weight equipment, including a large bay lifting rig, upgraded fixed pin kit and a refreshed dual studio.
A spokesperson for PureGym said: “This refurbishment marks a real milestone for PureGym Aberdeen Rubislaw, providing members with access to upgraded equipment to support their training and boost their mental and physical health.

To mark the reopening, PureGym Aberdeen Rubislaw will offer non-members the opportunity to try its updated facilities from 24 to 30 August.
