Ramco has signed a five year contract with Marubeni Itochu Tubulars Oceania (MITO) in Australia.
The $7 million AUD deal involves the international specialist in the care and maintenance of oil country tubular goods Western Australia operation, providing Total Tubular Management services such as the storage, care, maintenance and preparation of tubulars for MITO’s clients, which include major oil and gas operator Quadrant Energy.

Scotland headquartered Ramco established operations in Karratha in 2015 after collaborating with Centurion, one of the country’s largest transport and logistics providers.
The MITO contract will be managed by Ramco through a dedicated 100,000m2 facility using its bespoke PCU3 technology, designed to offer operational efficiency for internal and external cleaning and treatment of drill pipe, casing and tubulars. A first of its kind in Western Australia, the semi-automated PCU3 uses a self-contained re-usable water system which reduces the need to dispose of waste water and operates to the highest environmental standards.

We will work closely with Centurion and MITO to ensure successful delivery of tubular goods to operators across the region.”
MITO is one of Australia’s leading oil country tubular goods suppliers with a market presence in the region spanning 30 years. With bases in Perth, Brisbane and Auckland the company is a wholly-owned subsidiary of Marubeni-Itochu Steel Inc of Japan, a joint venture of Marubeni and Itochu Corporation.
Ramco was established in 1977 in Aberdeen, UK and this year is marking its 40th anniversary in business. After four decades it remains an independent company with a strong international footprint.
