The appointments will help support the company’s growth and enable the firm to continue to provide unrivalled comprehensive legal advice, in particular residential conveyancing and estate agency services, to a growing client base across the north-east of Scotland.

Managing Partner Callum McDonald said: “We are delighted to be able to continue to secure such impressive local talent to meet the needs of our growing client base.  We look forward to the contribution they will make to RCCW’s continued success in the sector and region.

“Looking ahead, our continued investment in our staff and services makes us well placed to continue to deliver excellent service to our clients as we emerge from the pandemic.”

At Inverurie, Kim Smart joins from Ledingham Chalmers as Associate Solicitor and Branch Principal. With over 10 years’ residential property experience and a wealth of local knowledge, Kim will bring her considerable strengths to the Inverurie team and the wider firm.

Recently qualified solicitor Rachael Morrison, who has experience in both residential and rural property, as well as private client law, will support Kim in residential matters, while Property Consultant Nicola Thomas has an extensive understanding of residential property sales and valuations in and around the north-east.

RCCW’s Banchory branch welcomes Shona Morrison as Associate Solicitor and Branch Principal. Shona has over 30 years’ experience in residential and rural conveyancing together with Private Client expertise in Wills, Powers of Attorney and continuing welfare issues. Her substantial local knowledge and expertise will enhance the experienced RCCW team based on Deeside.

The company has further enhanced its experienced and knowledgeable residential conveyancing team at its Ellon branch with the appointment of Andrew Bruce as Associate Solicitor. Specialising in residential conveyancing, Andrew joins the firm having previously been a Partner at Masson Glennie in Fraserburgh, and also has experience in commercial work and liquor licensing.

Elsewhere, Grant Mills joins the Union Street Property Shop as a solicitor, specialising in residential conveyancing and will support clients looking to move in the Granite City.

Bill Barclay, Head of the Residential Property Department, said: “We have continued to provide a support to clients as they move home throughout the pandemic. As the market continues to improve, we have increased staffing levels to support our growth and to allow us to continue to provide a first class service to clients wishing to move home within the North-east.”

RCCW has grown to become one of the largest full services legal firms with headquarters in Aberdeen with a staff of more than 120. The company has a strong network of branch offices in Stonehaven, Banchory, Ellon and Inverurie.
