Gathimba Edwards Foundation (GEF) welcomed a record number of participants at its 2025 Safari Series Prime Four races on Sunday, with 160 runners taking part in the 3k and kids’ 1k events at Prime Four Business Park.
The races raised £2,116, which will go towards GEF’s work supporting children and families facing hardship in Kenya and north-east Scotland. In Kenya, funds will help provide public education scholarships, house building, counselling services, and farming assistance. In Scotland, the charity offers grant funding for specialist equipment and services to families with a child who has a disability or life-limiting condition.
The event was sponsored by Prime Four Business Park, with operational support from Keith Symon and a team of 42 volunteers who ensured the races ran efficiently, creating a welcoming atmosphere for runners and spectators.
Myles Edwards, co-founder of GEF, said: “We’re so grateful to everyone who entered the Prime Four races, as well as our incredible volunteers, sponsors, and supporters. Events like these are only possible thanks to the continued dedication of the GEF community and the event participants”.
