Network specialist Arrowdawn has marked its 25th year in business with a 72% rise in turnover.
TheAberdeen company’s turnover increased from £1.45m last year to £2.5m in 2024–25 – the company’s highest figure to date.
The consultancy supports more than 300 offices across 25 countries, primarily in the energy sector, with an expanding portfolio of clients in finance and professional services.
Founded in 2000 by managing director Gordon Adie, the firm focuses on helping organisations and their employees maximise the value of their network and communications infrastructure.
Arrowdawn’s team of engineers collectively brings more than 70 years of technical expertise. With extensive knowledge of Fortinet and Cisco solutions, the company delivers network design and implementation, consultancy, 24/7 monitoring and hardware provision.
Gordon, formerly a network manager at Shell and BP, said: “Arrowdawn has been built on technical depth and a commitment to customer service. Our root-cause approach means systems are constantly assessed and improved, strengthening cyber security and reinforcing operational resilience.

Continued collaboration with IT companies and in-house IT teams has been a key factor in Arrowdawn’s recent growth.
While recognised primarily for its work in the energy sector, Arrowdawn supports organisations across a broad range of industries. Recent projects include creating dedicated networks for a busy sports venue to improve payment processing and public Wi-Fi performance at its busiest periods. This resulted in increased sales and higher customer satisfaction.
The firm has also delivered a global upgrade of network and security systems for an energy services company, covering operations in multiple countries and several hundred users.
Arrowdawn’s client base ranges from small and mid-sized companies to national and international firms. The firm has a team of six in Aberdeen and one based in Inverness.
Business runs in the family. Gordon’s wife, Gina, owns Refillosophy, a refill store on Albyn Grove in Aberdeen that specialises in sustainable and locally sourced products.
