The business has been buoyed by recent contract wins, totalling £250,000 over the past six months – including a major deal agreed in November to provide multi-site wireless guest access networking and internet services provision at 20 locations across Scotland for a national charity.

Additional client projects will see io IT Services deliver network implementation, Azure cloud services, SharePoint cloud collaboration implementation, and Cyber Essentials certification.

In addition, the company has appointed Ryan Kerr as systems consultant, Allan Smith as business development manager, and Amir Omicevic as developer/data engineer, taking the size of its team to five.

The business is currently recruiting for another systems consultant and an applications support analyst to meet increased demand. It also continues to operate strategic relationships with other Microsoft partners around the world.

David McCready, director at io IT Services, said: “I’m extremely proud of what the business has achieved throughout these past two years when the world has faced such uncertainty.

“The continued support shown by our clients has been a major factor in our success to date, whilethese recent wins have already helped us exceed our growth targets for the current financial year. As a result, this has given us the confidence to invest in the business and I’m excited to see what the future holds for our expanded team.”

In September, io IT Services was given another boost when it secured a nationwide contract with leading business development organisation, Elevator. The three-year deal will see the company provide the full suite of IT services to staff and entrepreneurs across the organisation’s 24 Scottish sites.

With over 40 years’ combined experience, io IT Services is led by directors David McCready and Nick Pickering. Located at balmoralHUB, Wellington Circle, the company provides IT support, consultancy, and strategy to small-and-medium-sized businesses and has already supported more than 50 clients across the UK and internationally.

Last year, the company was awarded registered internet services provider (ISP) status by industry regulator, Ofcom. This means that it can sell and support a range of internet connectivity services – with speeds up to 10Gbps – phone lines, and call charges directly with the country’s leading internet providers.

Nick Pickering, director at io IT Services, commented: “Our success has been built on a commitment to providing excellent customer service and I’m delighted that we have been able to continue growing the business following unprecedented demand for our services.

“These key technical projects not only highlight the full range of technical capabilities and expertise possessed by the team but also demonstrate rising levels of optimism in the north-east business community for the year ahead.”
