The Aberdeen headquarters of oil company Dana Petroleum was vandalised in the early hours of Thursday, with red paint thrown across the front of its city centre building. The incident occurred shortly after 2am at the Summer Street entrance, leaving the exterior of the King’s Close premises splattered with paint. The bricks, windows, and even a security camera near the entrance were affected by the attack

Police Scotland responded to the scene and remained present into midday as investigations continued. A Police Scotland spokeswoman confirmed:
“We received a report of vandalism at a premises on Huntly Street, Aberdeen at around 2.15am on Thursday, July 3. Inquiries are ongoing.”
Dana Petroleum, a subsidiary of Korea National Oil Corporation, operates several North Sea fields including Tolmount, Triton, and Western Isles. The company has been contacted for comment, but no statement had been issued at the time of publication.
