RGC Camps will return for summer 2026 with an expanded programme of creative and sports-based activity camps, following strong demand and positive feedback from families across Aberdeen and the North East.
Building on the success of its inaugural year, the initiative offers a series of teacher-led camps open to pupils from any school, combining structured learning with a focus on fun, confidence-building and social development in a safe environment.
This year’s creative line-up introduces a new Highland Dance Camp, alongside the returning Pipe Band Camp and Puppet-Crafters Camp. Designed to appeal to a broad range of interests and abilities, the camps provide children with opportunities to explore music, performance and hands-on creativity during the school holidays.
The Highland Dance Camp, new for 2026, welcomes both boys and girls, from beginners to experienced competitive dancers, offering an introduction to traditional Scottish dance as well as the chance to refine technique and performance skills.
Meanwhile, Pipe Band Camp and Puppet-Crafters Camp return after proving particularly popular last summer. Feedback from parents highlights the impact of the programme, both in terms of enjoyment and lasting memories.
One parent whose children attended Pipe Band Camp said: “The instructors were beyond amazing and my children made memories that will last a lifetime.”
Another parent praised the Puppet-Crafters Camp, commenting: “Very friendly, well organised, great activities and experiences – the nursery audience for the final show was a nice addition.”
Alongside its creative offering, RGC Camps will once again deliver its established sports programme, featuring football, hockey, rugby and netball sessions for children of all abilities.
The sports camps have also attracted strong praise, particularly for their inclusive atmosphere. One parent noted: “Lovely experience for both current and external pupils, with RGC pupils providing a warm and supportive welcome to children who may not have experienced the Countesswells campus or coaches previously.”
