Robert Gordon University’s (RGU) ‘What’s Next?’ campaign is hosting an evening of inspirational presentations from local entrepreneurs to help students with their careers.

The evening, which will entail a line-up of presentations followed by a panel style question and answer session, is taking place on Tuesday, April 11 from 6pm to 8pm in the Sir Ian Wood Building on the Garthdee campus.

Featured speakers include successful Aberdeen based entrepreneurs such as Dave Grant from Fierce Beer, Collette Norval from Social Stuff and Matt Sandham from Versain.

Also featured are accomplished businessmen, Richard Tinto of Tinto Architecture and Mike Saint from Mad Penguin.

Fierce Beer, which is hand brewed in Aberdeen, is also sponsoring the event.

The ‘What’s Next?’ series of events are being organised for RGU students through a collaboration between RGU’s Careers and Employability Centre, the RGU CRIB and Surge Aberdeen to promote entrepreneurship and enterprise for the next stage after university.

Chloe Bruce, Careers Information and System Co-Ordinator at RGU, says: “We are delighted to have so many amazing speakers at the event.

“It will be a great opportunity for people to hear from these successful entrepreneurs and be inspired by what they have achieved.

“This is just one of many events that ‘What’s Next?’ has organised for the near future, to try and support students in moving on to the next stage after graduation, whether it be further study or going into the world of work.

“We also hope to further promote entrepreneurship at the university by hosting an Enterprise and Entrepreneurship Week in the next academic year.”
