The Graduate Apprenticeship courses at RGU are meticulously designed to combine online learning, workplace experience, and minimal on-campus requirements. Participants are expected to dedicate approximately one day per week to academic study, enabling them to seamlessly integrate their newly acquired skills and knowledge into their current roles.

A GA mentor emphasised the immediate impact of these apprenticeships, stating: “Graduate Apprenticeships bring value to the workplace from day one, allowing apprentices to apply their learning immediately.

“This hands-on experience offers a significant advantage over traditional graduates, who may need to reflect on learning from several years ago.”

RGU has successfully partnered with over 500 businesses and public sector organisations across Scotland, enhancing the practical relevance and applicability of its GA programs.

While there are entry requirements for these courses, relevant work experience may be considered in lieu of formal qualifications, broadening access to these valuable opportunities.

The following Graduate Apprenticeship courses are available for September 2024 entry:

  • MSc Cyber Security
  • BSc (Hons) Construction and the Built Environment
  • BEng (Hons) Engineering: Design & Manufacture
  • BEng (Hons) Engineering: Instrumentation, Measurement & Control
  • BA (Hons) Business Management
  • BSc (Hons) Data Science
  • BA (Hons) Accounting

Additionally, the Business Management, Cyber Security, and Data Science courses offer an extra entry point in February 2025, providing further flexibility for prospective apprentices.

RGU remains committed to supporting both employers and individuals in exploring the benefits of Graduate Apprenticeships.
