Right People has made its name in the accountancy and IT recruitment sectors and the business has now decided to invest in an engineering offering.

Alex McLeod, co-founder and director at Right People, said: “We’ve stuck to what we know best in the recruitment sector and it’s stood us in good stead. The opportunity to add someone of David’s expertise maintains this ethos.

“We’re delighted David is heading up our oil and gas engineering and technical activity. Clients are very specific about the level of expertise and the type of person they wish to recruit, so we needed to have someone with first-class knowledge and insight of the engineering market.

“We have in the past shied away from engineering and technical positons as this was not specifically our area of expertise, but the addition of David allows us to source new opportunities to develop the business.”

David, engineering and technical business consultant, said: “I’m delighted to have joined the team at Right People. It’s a business that understands the value of specific skills sets rather than a one-size fits all approach to recruitment.

“Although perhaps only a few roles emerge at any given time due to market pressures, companies are nevertheless recruiting in this arena. There is huge emphasis to add the right experience and ensure the appointment works well within the team. We believe we can offer the level of support that is required in the current market.”
