DOUNESIDE House has been named Restaurant of the Year in the Scottish Hotel Awards.
The country house hotel, in Tarland, Royal Deeside, picked up the award in the virtual ceremony.
Douneside House, which is owned and managed by The MacRobert Trust, is home to the North-east’s only three rosette awarded restaurant.
The kitchen team is headed up by head chef David Butters who has been with Douneside House since it opened to the public in 2016.
James Payne, operations manager, said: “We’re delighted that what we strive to do has been recognised by the Scottish Hotel Awards in this way – a real accomplishment for the whole team.”
Vivien Devline, Scottish Hotel Awards judge, said: “This award is very well deserved.
“Douneside is producing such innovative, exciting, and artistic cuisine from their talented team of chefs.”
