The company has pledged to return 50% of all net profits from income generated by the training delivery collaboration back to the Charity and there will be opportunities to offer complementary training courses to RMA employees and welfare volunteers.

IED Training was awarded the Employer Recognition Scheme Gold Award from the Ministry of Defence in 2019 for its continued exemplary commitment to the Armed Forces community and won the London Stock Exchange Group-sponsored Soldiering on Award ‘Business Scale Up’ category in 2020.

It provides training and consultancy services internationally and its extensive suite of course options include Health and Safety, Wellbeing, First Aid for Mental Health and Trauma Stress Management.  The training is regulated and certificated by awarding organisations such as NEBOSH, IOSH, OFQUAL, SQA, and the company is ELCAS approved.

Managing Director Ian Clark said: “The opportunity to work with the Royal Marines Charity brings a real sense of excitement and pride. The Royal Marines are a truly special organisation and those that have or have had the privilege to serve in the Corps are only too aware of the positive impact in which that service had on their lives.

“More so than ever, we live in an increasingly globalised and competitive society and the importance of continuing professional development cannot be overstated.  Equally, those employers who invest in training for their employees, can benefit from a more highly skilled, motivated and committed workforce.”

Chief Executive of RMA Jonathan Ball said:  “I am delighted that RMA-The Royal Marines Charity has been offered this wide-ranging partnership with IED Training Solutions on a number of grounds: firstly we are able to support and promote a business run by one of our own which provides first class products; secondly it is an opportunity to assist those Royal Marines who have lost their own careers through medical discharge into employment with IED’s highly regarded accredited qualifications; thirdly through IED’s generous offer to share profits we will be able to raise significant funds to ensure our continued support to Royal Marines and their families in need. This is the first partnership of its kind that RMA has entered into with a corporate supporter, and we are fully committed to its success.”
