RSM UK has appointed Grant Morrison as office managing partner in Aberdeen, succeeding Andrew Forsyth who has led the local operation for the past decade.
Morrison, an audit specialist with a strong background in the energy sector, joined RSM as a partner in 2021. He has since headed up the firm’s audit practice in the city and led its UK oil and gas sector team. Before RSM, he spent 24 years with PwC, including almost a decade in the US and Middle East, while remaining closely connected to Aberdeen’s energy community.

He takes over from Forsyth, who joined RSM in 2014 and expanded the Aberdeen office to a 50-strong team. Forsyth will remain with the firm as a partner, continuing to serve his portfolio of owner-managed business clients.
Commenting on his appointment, Morrison said: “I am proud to take the reins as managing partner in my home city of Aberdeen, and I’m looking forward to leading our team and building on the strong foundation and client base we have in the region. Aberdeen represents a strategic priority for RSM as we continue to invest and grow the team here. Our previous managing partner Andrew has led the office through a period of significant growth and development, and leaves us very well placed for the next chapter.”
The move underscores RSM’s commitment to the north-east, with Aberdeen remaining a key hub for both the firm’s Scottish operations and its global energy sector expertise.
