When it comes to supporting the Grampian Multiple Sclerosis Therapy Centre, few people understand the importance of the charity quite like Sandy and Karen.
Together, they have turned their commitment to Grampian MS into an incredible fundraising journey, raising more than £7,000 so far and helping shine a light on the vital work carried out by the Centre.
Their fundraising is about much more than reaching a target. It is about community, friendship and making a positive difference to the lives of people who use the Centre.
As Chairman of Grampian MS, Sandy has a particularly strong connection with the members, staff and wider community surrounding the Centre. He sees first-hand the difference that the charity’s services, support and welcoming environment can make.
But behind every successful fundraising challenge is often someone providing encouragement, support and motivation — and for Sandy, that person is Karen.
Together, Sandy and Karen have embraced the challenges, put in the miles and continued to raise awareness and funds for a cause that means so much to them.
Their achievement of raising more than £7,000 is something to be celebrated, but perhaps even more importantly, their efforts demonstrate the incredible spirit that exists around Grampian MS.
The Centre is built on people — its members, staff, volunteers, supporters and fundraisers — and Sandy and Karen perfectly demonstrate what can be achieved when people come together with a shared purpose.
Their fundraising is helping Grampian MS continue to provide vital therapies and support for people living with MS and other conditions across the North East of Scotland, while also helping the charity look towards an exciting future.
With ambitious plans to develop its facilities and expand the support available, every pound raised has a part to play.
For Sandy and Karen, however, the fundraising journey is clearly about more than money. It is about giving something back, bringing people together and helping ensure that Grampian MS can continue to be there for those who need it.
More than £7,000 raised, countless miles travelled and an enormous amount of commitment — Sandy and Karen are showing exactly what fundraising for a cause you believe in is all about.
Grampian MS would like to thank them both for their remarkable efforts and for everything they continue to do for the Centre and its members.
Their story is one of positivity, determination and community — and one that deserves to be celebrated.
