Speaking of the event, Susan Crighton, Director of Fundraising at Charlie House, says, “We are so excited to see the Santa Run returning to Aberdeen’s Christmas celebrations and are delighted to be involved for the third year in a row.”
She continued: “This is a fantastic event, especially as it’s accessible for wheelchair users and their parent/carers. This means that many of the families that we support can get involved and supports our mission to offer accessible activities and support services to babies, children and young people with life-limiting and life-threatening conditions in North-east Scotland.”
The Lord Provost, Dr David Cameron, said: “Aberdeen City Council is delighted to support the return of the Charlie House Santa Fun Run after it was last held in 2019. Hundreds of Santas running down Union Street will be a welcome addition to the Christmas celebrations and it’s sure to be a spectacular sight! I would encourage anyone who wants to take part to sign up soon for a very worthy cause.
“Charlie House provides a vital service to many families across the North-east of Scotland and supporting them with events like these is essential for allowing them to continue delivering their much-needed resources and services.”
