The global firm, which employs more than 120 people announced the 35000-sqft facility will be used as a fully Original Equipment Manufacturer approved one-stop service centre for the inspection, repair, overhaul, service bulletin upgrade and testing services for the complete range of fuel systems within General Electric’s LM aeroderivative gas turbines.

The team will also have the capability to carry-out a range of services, for fuel systems on other engine types such as the Siemens TB5000, Rolls Royce Avon and RB211.

Head of sales and customer support, Calum Melhuish, said “We currently work with international clients, offering them our whole range of services from our global facilities. This new state-of-the-art property means we are able to provide the same level of service we do in Scotland a little closer to home for some of our biggest customers.

“To celebrate the opening of our USA base a team of us will be heading over to WTUI (Western Turbine Users Inc.) conference and exhibition in March. We go most years but this year we can tell people we are now a UK, Dubai China, Venezuela, Kuala Lumpur, Indonesia and Texas based firm, which is OEM, FPAL and Achilles approved.”
