The new car sales and leasing company, which has offices in Edinburgh and Aberdeen, will provide sponsorship to amateur golf by supporting the SGU’s fleet of cars. This is in addition to the firm also being the official vehicle partners of the Professional Footballers Association Scotland and the Law Society of Scotland.

As part of the agreement, Pike & Bambridge will offer individual Scottish Golf Membership Card holders an exclusive service on new car sales and leasing, with golf clubs receiving a commission every time one of their members acquires a new vehicle through the firm.

Pike & Bambridge is being represented by brand ambassador Richie Ramsay, the European Tour star who recently won the Trophee Hassan II in Morocco.

Ramsay, who received his new sponsored car at last week’s Scottish Boys Championship at Dunbar – an event he played in several times during the early part of his amateur career – where the partnership was being launched, welcomed the new announcement.

The three-time European Tour winner said: “I have worked with Pike & Bambridge for two years now and they are a great company to deal with, offering fantastic customer service and knowledge of the car industry.

“The team are very passionate about golf so it’s no surprise to see them supporting the Scottish Golf Union with this new partnership.”

Nathan Pike, Director of Pike & Bambridge, added: “We are delighted to extend our golf portfolio to the Scottish Golf Union and we welcome the opportunity to support golf clubs and their members through this new partnership. We operate across the whole of Scotland and offer a competitive package for any golfer looking to source a new car.”

Ross Duncan, Marketing & Sponsorship Manager, said: “The SGU is looking forward to teeing off this new sponsorship deal with Pike & Bambridge and we welcome their fantastic support. We are committed to adding value to being a member of a Scottish golf club and I’m sure many golfers will see this as a great option for their next car.”
