D2 Marketing will take over the running of the event from Xcite Media Ltd.

The returning two-day event will take place at the Aberdeen Exhibition and Conference Centre over June 27 and 28. It is set to showcase everything from pre-natal products and services for mums and dads to be, as well as toys, gadgets, gift ideas and advice for children right through their development – from the young toddler, right up to 16 years old.

Confirmed exhibitors already include names such as Costco, Hobbycraft, Academy of Performing Arts, NHS Grampian, National Trust for Scotland, Sport Aberdeen, Outdoor Woodland Learning School and Creation Station. Entertainment this year includes The Puppet Gang and rock band for kids, Sharky Sharky.

Julie Murray, D2 Marketing company director, said: “We are delighted to have acquired such a popular exhibition to expand our events portfolio.

“The two-day show was a real success last year and we were very interested in looking at this opportunity and we look forward to working with the exhibitors. Xcite Media delivered a fantastic event last year and we will continue to deliver a first-class kids exhibition to the people of Aberdeen.”

Darren Ross, director of Xcite Media, added: “Having produced a hugely successful event last year, we were thrilled that D2 were excited about this event and expressed an interest in taking over the reins.

“Julie and her team already have great experience in delivering popular exhibitions with the bi-annual Dedicated 2 Weddings exhibitions. We look forward to supporting and working with the D2 team during the transitional period to ensure the Scottish Kids Show returns to Aberdeen with a bang.”
