A leading provider of immigration services is inviting senior pupils and university students in Scotland to take part in its 2024 UK Immigration School.

The free online programme, being held by Fragomen for the 5th year in a row, offers an introduction to immigration law and related careers, providing students with insight into this multi-faceted field.

Fragomen’s UK Immigration School will be held online to ensure accessibility for students across Scotland and other parts of the UK.

  • The first session on Wednesday, November 6 (6pm to 8pm), will  introduce students to the UK immigration system and provide an overview of Fragomen’s responsible business strategy which includes pro bono initiatives and diversity, equity and inclusion (DE&I) efforts, as well as wellbeing and sustainability programmes.
  • The second session on Wednesday, November 13 (6pm to 8pm), will explore corporate immigration insights into careers in law and give students an opportunity to participate in a topical discussion on UK immigration updates.

Natasha Catterson, Partner at Fragomen, said: “The immigration sector offers a range of career opportunities, and this programme provides a comprehensive overview of the available options.

“Attendees will be able to highlight their participation on their CVs, demonstrating specialist knowledge that could distinguish them in future applications. The programme aims to equip students with a solid understanding of the diverse career opportunities, the application process and an experience they can discuss during interviews.”

Fragomen is dedicated exclusively to immigration services worldwide. The firm has nearly 6,000 immigration professionals and support staff in 62 offices around the world and offers immigration support in more than 170 countries.
