In his new role, David will work across all four businesses: Caley Ocean Systems, IMES International, Flexlife, and Umbilicals International.  He takes over from Martin Barnes, who simultaneously held the position of Managing Director of IMES International.

The Seanamic Group boasts nine offices and manufacturing facilities between the UK and Houston, Texas, and serves clients in the international energy, defence, seismic and oceanographic science industries.  The Group is backed by the Piper Jaffray-managed Simmons Private Equity.

Commenting on his new role, Mr Hutchinson said: “The Seanamic Group companies have a strong individual history and identity, which we will evolve into an integrated, sustainable service for our clients.  I look forward to working across our companies’ hard-working talent pool to combine our capabilities and build on latest developments, including new facilities and technology.”

Alan Brunnen, Chairman of the Seanamic Group, said: “I would like to thank Martin Barnes for his hard work while managing IMES International and the Seanamic Group.  He has overseen several changes for the Group which will have positive, lasting benefits for our customers.  I am confident that under David’s new leadership, the Seanamic Group will continue to integrate its operations and exceed clients’ expectations.”
